Let's Set A New Record For this Month's Challenge!

Submitted by LisaFVitaLifeFitness on Wed, 01/16/2008 - 3:00pm. in

As of today, we have 423 members of the ipodfitnesscenter!  This is fantastic and I have a challenge for everyone participating in the Bootcamp.  Choose some members who have not signed up for Bootcamp and send them a private message to join in.  Maybe we can get up to 100 recruits!

Go Team Go!  This is going to be a great year!

What is your inspiration to stay fit? Leave a comment w/ your answer.

I'm starting this blog to get to know everyone and to find out what inspires each of you to stay in shape.

I'm a Physical Education Teacher in New York and I keep in shape for myself, but also to set a good example for my students.

What are your inspirations and goals?

Leave a comment with your answer. I'd love to hear from you, and you never know someone else might have the same inspiration.

1 Marathon, 1 Half Marathon, 2 Days, 4 Theme Parks, 39.3 miles. Disney World Marathon Weekend

Submitted by Gidyupbaby on Thu, 01/17/2008 - 5:17pm. in

Hey everyone sorry it took so long to post a new blog after the last. Even time I run a race I learn something new about myself and the people around me. First I have to say congrats to Melba and her husband for running the marathon. Remember only .1 of the world's population has completed a marathon.

 Thursday January 10th 2008

One year after the day that we booked this trip to Disney World for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, I sit here waiting before we head off to the health and fitness expo at the Disney Wide World of Sports Resort. As time ticks down I start to think about the challenge I’ve set before myself. 39.3 miles in 2 days is a pretty daunting task.

A Few Days Before Disney's Goofy Challenge

Submitted by Gidyupbaby on Wed, 01/09/2008 - 5:12pm. in

So its Wednesday Jan. 9th about 3 days away from Disney's Goofy Challenge. I'm writing this, because I love to see how something like a marathon changes a person before and after. Before and after every marathon I've run, I like to write something down to figure out how I feel. I've run 3 marathons, all the New York City ING Marathons since 2005. My first marathon was amazing. The pain from it was incredible, however it took me days to put into words the way I actually felt.
