Does anybody else have problems losing workout data from their Ipod. It seems as if about every six to eight weeks run data won't upload. Just this week I lost two runs, one of 8 miles and another of 6 miles.

Yes. Saturday, I did my longest run ever. 5.63 miles. I was so proud of it and then when I went to load it it was gone. I thought I did something wrong.
Here's another option that just might work.
Eject ipod from computer. Remove Nike link. Close iTunes.
Lay your ipod flat on the table.
Press and hold the MENU and CENTER at the same time until the apple shows up.
When the ipod 'wakes up' again, reconnect to iTunes and try again for the workout data.
The 3rd time I did this tonight it gave back the run it had eaten earlier this evening.

Yes, that has happened to me also, it is very frustrating. I have spoken with people at Nike+ and at iPod. There is not much that they can do unless you want to completely wipe off your iPod and reload undated software, the people at Apple's 800 number, 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273), are happy to walk you through it. You will loose all the walk history off of your iPod and iTunes but not at Nike+ or VitaLife Fitness. iPod also has an extended warranty that you can purchase for $39.00 for 2 years and it covers all software and hardware issues that may occur on the iPod including replacement if necessary.
Also I have found if you pull out the little white receiver before she/he/the voice has finished giving you the run totals - the information is lost. So what I have started to do is let her give me my total and click Menu all the way back to the main screen BEFORE plugging it in to the computer to upload, I have not had any issues since. I just had to learn to be more patient in getting my run uploaded :) Hope that helps a little. - Brenda
